I’m dedicated and love making a change through design
I won't sugar-coat it
I'll be honest and transparent with you throughout our collab. If I don't think I have the skills, I'll say it. If I don't think you're holding up your end, I'll say it. If I think we need to redo something, I'll say it… you get the point.
I don't make stuff 'pop'
Too often I come across designers (or clients) who just want something to look good. But that's not what I do - it's never an objective by itself. The primary goal is to create something practical and functional that meets your business needs. Aesthetics is then the glue that binds it all together.
I'm a T-shape
I would not define myself as an expert within anything. Rather I'd say I have a strong t-shape withing branding, marketing, and design. This means I have in-depth knowledge about some areas, while I have a wide knowledge about a variety of other areas.
"Rather than knowing everything about one thing, I know something about a lot of things."
I love a good challenge
Through years of experience and self-reflection, I've reached a point where I never fear new and unknown challenges. I'd actually say I search for them. I love having to find online courses and tutorials to learn and refine a skill to strengthen the delivery of a project.
A combination of academic and hands-out experience
Education
I took a bachelor in Digital Media & Design at the IT University of Copenhagen. I started doing freelance and voluntary work alongside my studies.
After a gap-year, I moved to The Netherlands to study my Master in Strategic Product Design on Delft University of Technology.
Also here I did work on the side of my studies. I did an internship at Deloitte Greenhouse (their innovation lab) and got hired part-time following this.
My Master Thesis was done in collaboration with Deloitte Digitam Amsterdam.
Work
Through the years, I've been privileged enough to gain experience in a lot of areas; voluntary work for non-profit organizations; paid freelance gigs for companies in different industries; full-time jobs for agencies and consultancy companies; and now I find myself as an in-house designer at Mouseflow. Doing projects on the side makes me expand my knowledge and feeds my passion and creativity.
